About
A small studio, a long tail.
I'm Jimmy Thomas. Neon Ink is what I call the things I make. I've been at this — building software for the web — since 1993, and shipping under the Neon Ink banner since 2004, out of Mount Dora, Florida.
Three decades in, the medium keeps changing and the instinct stays the same: make something useful, make it well, keep it running. I like long-lived projects. Some of mine have been live for almost twenty years.
I work the way a workshop works. Small. Direct. Strong opinions about craft. No middlemen, no committees, no theater. When you email, you get me.
Some of what I make is for myself — apps and games I ship under Neon Ink and tend to for years. Some of what I make is for the teams in the row below, where the work is theirs and I just bring the hands.
